At 11m height…

In the heart of Hamburg (D), right in the city centre, Builder H. Hansen & CO GmbH has just completed a rather unusual project; erecting a 546 m² office building at a height of 11 m above an existing production plant.

It was no straightforward task the site job manager, Klaus Altmann: he could not put up scaffolding and could only store materials on the existing concrete foundation slab! The AZM1 polygonal office building was anchored on a floor of re-inforced concrete. The end walls have an arched parapet, whereas the sidewalls include additional tapered tubes. To enhance the building architecturally, ASTRON Builder Hansen utilized a sinusoidal SINUTEC wall.
