ASTRON STEEL CONSTRUCTION IN ZABRZE (POLAND): STEEL CONSTRUCTION OF THE MONTH IN ZABRZE (POLAND)

The new building for household commodities producer - Best Poland Sp. z o.o. has already received two awards.  It was chosen as the best Astron building of January 2008 and was also awarded for the quality of realization and architectural effects from the President of Silesian Building Association in 2006.

The building consists of a 12,750m² production hall, and a 800m² 2-storey social building with a hotel, which was designed to be the representative part of the plant.  For the wall cladding PA and PI panels were used, and for the roof, DSR panels were chosen.  The steel building contains many interesting technical solutions; the 150m length dilatation in the roof or telescopic tunnel (which is a steel construction covered with polycarbonate) to the neighboring plant.  Characteristic elements of the office‘s front elevation are glass bay-windows and a reinforced concrete slope along the front wall with mosaic plaster.

The plant was built in 7 months, the client was very satisfied with this turnaround as well as both the functionality and appearance of the building.
