Astron- Industrial building – Spain – Steel Construction – Spain
With ASTRON on the sunny sideThe customary activity area of this ASTRON Builder Rubrica Naves Metálicas is the Castellón region on the Northern part of the Gulf of Valencia. Builder Enrique Tichell and the owner of Dipesa were already acquainted through their mutual hobby as amateur pilots; consequently it was no major problem for both business people to bridge the 170 km distance from the mainland to the sunny island. The company Dipesa is located close to the Ibiza Airport and is busy in tourism, with bus transportation and car rentals. Although the company owned parking areas and a garage for repairs, they had no building to protect their car pool from bad weather conditions. The building, especially conceived therefore, comprises a total ground surface of 1.646 m², with a length of nearly 60 meters and a width of 32 meters, spanning free over the complete building width. The austere façade is partially covered with vertical SINUTHERM panels, distinguishing perfectly against the microlined HOESCH Panels, thus livening up the general view. The roof with its 10% slope is covered with the very popular PR panel in ivory white. The entrance area is especially eyecatching: traditional stone steps in a warm red terracotta tone, framed by ochre yellow masonry lead to the staircase with its classy glass curtain wall |
