Astron- Industrial building – Italy – Steel Construction – Italy
Only lightweight steel could cope with this challengeASTRON Builder CEDICOM from southern Italy has gained many years experience in planning buildings for food processing companies. In this very case, the company Fortyfruit (whose name is derived from its owner, Mr. Quaranta which means 40 in Italian) is busy with storage, canning and trading of vegetables. The main 1.173m² building features two annexes of 313m² and 400m² as well as two canopies of 171m² and 266m², thus representing a total of 2.323m² ground surface with various building heights. ASTRON Builder CEDICOM was also able to mix the local building tradition with the advantages that only steel buildings can provide: thus, brick walls have been combined with PA panels as exterior cladding. In order to guarantee an excellent insulation of the inside cold storage rooms, the 7% sloped roof is covered with sandwich panels. During the latest Macfruit fair, the customer had admired the posters of ASTRON buildings on CEDICOM’s stand and asked if there were a chance his building would be on display one day too … mission accomplished. |
