First Russian Winner ! Autocenter Pulkovo, dedicated to the sale and maintenance of Volkswagen cars, recently inaugurated its new car dealership in Saint Petersburg (Russia). ASTRON Builder STEP Construction built the steel building.This new 4.000 m² dealership is the biggest VW auto-center in the North-West part of Russia. With its vast open "hangar" aspect, Autocenter Pulkovo follows one of VW’s layout concepts by marrying a spectacular glazed facade to an immense metal structure. The spacious open volumes of the layout facilitate movement, vision and communication within the building.ASTRON Builder STEP Construction had to overcome a number of construction challenges to meet the architectural and technical specifications demanded by this prestigious car manufacturer. Preservation of the brand’s identity was a key element throughout the building and its layout. In accordance with the Volkswagen spirit, the showroom and reception had to be light and airy yet, at the same time, efficient and functional; demands that were met, in part at least, by the massive amounts of glazing. The entire building was conceived to put the wellbeing of the customer first while respecting the quality and comfort standards of Volkswagen.The customer was really satisfied by this ASTRON building, a real architectural success that reflected the corporate identity of the German car manufacturer.
