Functional and beautiful ! Winner of the ASTRON Building of the Month contest for August is French Builder Océanis with this 3.300 m² building which was built for Dubocage in Gonfreville L'Orcher (France). Well thought-out combinations of simple functional elements together with excellent aesthetics were the decisive factors for the ASTRON adjudicators. Dubocage, a hundred year old family company producing iron and steel products in the surroundings of Lille (France), contracted ASTRON Builder Oceanis for its new 3.300 m² turnkey storage and office facility. The attraction of the building lies in the harmonious use of colours, ranging from the horizontal Sinutec wall panels, slate grey for the offices and white for the warehouse, to the barge trim and various flashings. Overall, the design is complemented by the architectural steel sculpture at the building entrance.
