Astron- Industrial building – Korntal-Münchingen Germany– Steel Construction – Germany
More space to improve service!Despite a halt in construction due to the discovery of a Celtic archaeological site, German Builder Mörk Bau GmbH & Co. KG nevertheless planned and constructed this 2.035 m² turnkey complex within a 6 month period. The existing commercial vehicle assembly-shop of Bilia Trucks GmbH, a branch of Swedish Bilia AB, no longer met their needs. Bilia, therefore, decided to rapidly build new premises, comprising a 985 m² assembly-shop, 115 m² of warehousing plus a two-storey administrative complex dedicated to sales offices and accounting. The assembly-shop and the warehouse are pure steel buildings whereas the ground floor of the office building is constructed of concrete with steel cladding. For construction details, the owner selected the new SINUTEC horizontal wall panel, recently developed by ASTRON, and an energy saving and functional DSR double skin roof. The efficiency of the machinery layout and production flow was maximised by the selection of a mezzanine and a high capacity crane beam . Both the property developer and the tenant of this complex have expressed their full satisfaction with the service and responsible approach of Builder Mörk, the general contractor for the project. |
