Avangard Ice Center
On September 6th, the opening ceremony of the Avangard ice center with an area of 4,200 m² took place in the Russian town of Labytnangi, built by Magnum with the Astron building system.
This is our third Astron project for Avangard hockey academy, ordered by Gazprom Neft as part of their “Home Towns” corporate social responsibility (CSR) program; similar Astron sports facilities were opened in Takro-Sale and Muravlenko.
This ice arena and sports complex covers a total 5,400 m², offering facilities for training sessions and hockey and figure skating competitions, as well as winter sports for anyone wanting to take part. The building has seating for 400 people, including a special area for people with disabilities. The complex includes a barrier-free area, and showers for the visually impaired are covered with special tactile floor tiles.

At the opening ceremony, Aleksey Yagudin, Olympic champion in figure skating became the special guest. He demonstrated special magic in skating on the ice. He also conducted the unique master-class for children.
Representatives of the building company as well as official persons participated in the opening ceremony together with the famous sportsman.
